Fall Brawl 2016 ended with success. It is now time to scuffle for the Spring Scuffle 2017. Early bird registration is closed. Only door registration remains.
Spring Scuffle will be hosted at the same location as Fall Brawl, the Holiday Inn in Bozeman, MT.
The current lineup for the tournament consists of:
Super Smash Bros. Melee for Gamecube
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
Street Fighter V for PlayStation 4
Injustice 2 for PlayStation 4
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 for PlayStation 4
Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator for PlayStation 4
For Honor – 1v1 for PlayStation 4
Unlike in Fall Brawl, For Honor has been added to the mix. It will be interesting to see the response from players in the 1 versus 1 tournament. Some who have heard of it are unsure if they will attend due to the popularity of For Honor of the pc. Yet, others are excited to see it’s growth such as Blake Mickatavage, host, leader, creator of Spring Scuffle and Fall Brawl.
Some great things come in waves. This ranges from an invitational and an exhibition. Both of these were recently announced. However, finalized details on the invitational have yet to be released by Blake. As for the exhibition, the event is being ran by David Wallace.
The exhibition will consist of a crew battle between Bozeman and Billings. These two cities are already natural rivals. A crew battle seemed mandatory. The game is UMVC3 according to Wallace. “We will be doing the crew battle Waseda style, with as many people as both crews can bring. We hope this will give the rowdy marvel crew plenty of opportunity to get hype and yell, and will settle which town has the best marvel scene in Montana!” according to Wallace in a Facebook post on to Spring Scuffle’s page.
The overall event starts at 8 a.m. at the Holiday Inn in Bozeman on May 20th. It ends, well it will end when we all learn the shuffle. Good luck to all the players coming in to Bozeman! Good luck to all of our local players! Remember you’re not having fun if you’re not being salty a little.
